The Beastmen are a secretive species, but they are known to be great fighters. They have the ability to be masters of combat, all while using only their natural-born abilities. they seldom use weapons, and often shun them, but some wear bladed gauntlets or metal knuckles in case they must fight in their humanoid form. In their animal form, they gain a +5 bonus to their attack (roleplay-wise, a beastman with 20 posts could be a threat to a Humani with 40).
They cannot speak in the Gunthari tongue while in their beastform, but communicate with others by growling. Beastmen in either forms can talk to animals, and some Evlorei are capable of learning to commune with them in this form.
There is also a ritual that very few beastmen undergo to gain the ability to use magic. In this ritual, they must give up their ability to take their beastform, and gain magical prowess. They are, however, limited to anima magic. because of their nature, and the type of magic they wield, they are often more skillful at its use than the other sentient species. The ritual is difficult, and must be performed by either an Evlorei spellweaver or a Beatman mage, and can backfire, leaving the unfortunate beastman with neither magic or their beastform. Only the most dedicated and willful beastmen undergo this transformation.

When beastmen a certain level, they gain new abilities. (for the sake of consistency, this will be 200 posts, when everyone else class ups!
Beast-Mages can become known as Spirit guides, gaining the ability to call upon the spirits as well as use anima, or can become Scappers, using both magic and knuckles (they still cannot transform, however).
Non-magic beastmen usually get a bonus to their animal form, +10 attack instead of +5, or become able to use another Guntharian weapon while in "human" form(character can choose any one type of non-magic weapon).

Kat, I love you in ways I cannot possibly explain. Thank you so much for making my dreams for Kaz a reality. EDIT: Does this 'change' for Beastmen require a promotion item? I know they didn't used to, but since both paths got a new 'weapon' out of it, it would probably be appropriate if they did require a promotion item. Maybe 'Beast Fang' or 'Tribe Mark'?
