Name: Rory, née Lorelei Clarentine
Species: Half-Humani, half-Evlorei
Class: Hunter
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Age: 18
Appearance:
Rory stands approximately 5'2", because of her half Evlorei heritage. She has long black hair that she inherited from her Humani mother, and clear blue eyes that she inherited from her Evlorei father. She has a small and agile stature, befitting her profession of a Hunter. Her clear blue eyes emphasizes her ability to sense spirits and feel their presence in her surroundings, which is why most of the time she looks absent-minded.
Clothes:
She wears a camouflage green cloak that stops short at her waist, and her dark-brown Hunter garb inside, consisting of a tunic, shorts, stockings, and knee-high boots. Her quiver is slung constantly on her shoulder, carrying her bow and arrows, her primary weapon. Her brown gloves were a memento from her late mother, and thus she carries it with her everywhere.
Born in: Outskirts of Yunita Woods
Story:
Lorelei Clarentine was born in the outskirts of Yunita Woods, where her Humani mother and Evlorei father settled after they met and married in a nearby village. They had lived there in peace for seven years, until the village nearby had been raided by a rogue group of Lilithu in the dead night. They were a dangerous group, and had threatened to take over the village and its nearby land. To save Lorelei and her mother, her father decided to send them far away until Gunert, a desert terrain. Since Lorelei's father had a high standing within the Evlorei in Yunita Woods, he could not stay with them. He had promised that he would come back for them eventually, and that they would live together again in the same house that they had lived for seven years peacefully.
During the period of time Lorelei had lived in the outskirts in Yunita Woods, ever since she was old enough to hold a bow, she had learned archery from her father and the ability to sense spirits from her mother. "One day, you will be able to call on them for help," her mother once told her. However, even though she has a latent affinity to magic, she did not have the time to hone them. Instead, when they were forced to move to Gunert, she honed those abilities she learned from her father and mother so that she could protect her mother until her father comes back. Despite there being no fairies in Gunert, there were spirits everywhere, even in the plains of Gunert. She could sense them, despite not yet able to communicate with them. Eventually, she felt at peace with her new life, while patiently waiting for her father.
After ten years, her father never came back. Lorelei's mother, still believing that he would come back eventually, still held on to him despite overworking herself within an organization in Gunert whose information was withheld even from Lorelei. Lorelei herself had nearly given up on her father, and only focused on protecting her mother.
One day, her mother came home bloodied and battered, barely clinging onto life. Lorelei tried everything to save her, but she died succumbed to her wounds. Driven with despair of the loss of her mother, Lorelei decided to get revenge toward the organization her mother worked for. She threw away her last name, deciding to forget the father who threw her and her mother away, and adopted her nickname, Rory, and set off on a quest to whoever was responsible for the death of her mother. With a hit list she made of the people her mother worked with, she became a proper Hunter, and roams Gunert targeting these people in hopes of fulfilling her revenge.
Rory is, personality-wise, cheerful and fun to people she does not deem a threat to her or not a member of the organization she's targeting. She is still careful to be wary of people she has never met, so she can be overly suspicious. She is sometimes absent-minded whenever she senses spirits nearby, desperately trying to communicate with them, to no avail. However, once she gets serious in battle, or has found a person on her hit list, all bets are off and she becomes unstoppable, even if she gets badly wounded in the process. Unfortunately, because of this, Rory does not know her own limits.
